The eels are amazing - must check and see if they're endemic.. I would have been on the look out for trout, which are not - endemic that is! Oh and all the scenery is amazing too - wonder if there's any sweet potatoes left in them paddocks :-) If the eels are endemic then I guess that means we know what was on the Maori menu - eel and kumara! xox
